The National Museum
Help to explore centuries of Arabian prehistory, history, within striking modernist architecture and flower-wreathed gardens. It's eight halls exhibits everything from Neolithic rock art, to replicas of the buildings of old Jeddah, as well as transporting visitors on a magically interactive tour of the ages.
The Murabba Palace
Also known as Qasr al Murabba. It served as the residence and court of King Abdul Aziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia.
Masmak Fortress
Built in 1865 during the Second Saudi State, the fortress was given the name Masmak, the Arabic word for a tall, strong building with thick walls. It was the main base for the defense of Riyadh. When AL Rasheed family took control, the Saud Family were forced to flee into exile in Kuwait. There they remained until 1902.Abdul Rahman Al-Saud arrived in Riyadh accompanied by 63 men. He told 23 of them to wait at the border in case the mission failed, then entered the capital where he recapture the fortress and with it Riyadh.
King Abdullah Financial District
is a mixed-use financial district located in the al-Aqeeq neighbourhood of Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaManaged by the King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kingdom's Public Investment Fund. The district was previously being managed by the Rayadah Investment Corporationon behalf of the Pension Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The district is the largest LEED Platinum certified mixed-use business centre in the world.
Sky Bridge
is the sixth tallest skyscraper in Saudi Arabia. Completed in 2002, this 99-storey building rises 302.3 meters in the sky and overtook Faisaliyah Tower as the tallest tower in Saudi Arabia, however, it has since been surpassed by five other buildings but remains the most iconic building in the Riyadh skyline.
Diriyah
Was the former residence of the Saudi Arabia royal family (1727- 1818) and is one of top-notch tourist places in Riyadh. Explore the whimsical essence of Riyadh at this enthralling desert village which is also a panoramic UNESCO heritage site. Upon entering tourists will walk through cobbled narrow pathways lined with verdant lancing palm trees rendering a picture-perfect backdrop for photography.
Darb Al Manjur
The Ammariyah Edge, one of the many edges at Tuwaiq mountains, this location knon locally as Darb Al Manjur.
Shaqraa
It is a Saudi governorate, located 180 km north of Riyadh, the largest city in Al-Yamamah state. Was a stopping point on the Riyadh-Taif road before the opening of the new road. Was formed before the advent of Islam.
It suffered from the war of the Turks against Bin Saud in the year 1818, when Shaqra people were known for the support of Imam. The Emir of Shaqra, Hamad bin Ghayhab, ordered the people of Shaqra to dig a deep trench around their city.
Ibrahim Palace
located in the Al Kout neighborhood in the center of Al hofuf. The fort was originally built by the Ottomans and includes buildings in different architectural styles. These buildings include the Al Qubba mosque, built in 1577 AD. The military essence in its design is what distinguishes Ibrahim Palace among other palaces in Saudi Arabia. The fort includes a museum with photographs that provide a window into the fort’s history.
Al Koot Heritage Hotel
is located within an attractive historic building in central Al Hofuf. The architecture of this boutique hotel is typical of that found in the 19th century in the Eastern Province and reminiscent of a Moroccan Riad. Heavy wooden doors open onto the focal point of the property, a beautiful central courtyard surrounded by elegant arcading on two stories. Carpets have been strewn across the courtyard’s marble floor, chairs are decorated with colourful Saudi Sadu work, and antiques adorn with walls to give the property a welcoming a homely feel.
The House of Al mulla (Allegiance Hous)
is a historical house located in the Al Koot neighborhood of Al Hofuf city. It is the house of Abdul Latif Al Mulla, the head of the Al Mulla family, and the house that witnessed the people of Al Ahsa pledge allegiance to King Abdul Aziz in 1913. Its area is 705 square meters, and it was founded in 1789. Since 2005 it has been converted into a museum, it contains many rooms, collectibles, tools, manuscripts and archaeological contents.
Al-Amiriya School “House of Culture
the school is the first in Al-Hofuf and has a rich architectural, historical and educational legacy. Embodies a traditional Islamic style and spans an area of 1,200 square meters. It features a main entrance and gate two stories high surmounted by a balcony. Al-Amiriya was officially naugurated in 1941. King Abdelaziz visited the school in 1931 to inspect its condition. Makkah Governorm, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, former Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi and the late Minister of Labor Dr. Ghazi Al-Qusaibi, all studied there. The school building was rehabilitated to become a cultural center.
Al-Qaisaryah market
Was built in Algebraic state 1392. Was expanded at the beginnings of the first Ottomon period 1524.
The market was 80% destroyed due to a massive fire that broke out on 2001.
Exhibits, traditional Arab's clothes, traditional handicrafts and heritage collectibles, aromatic products and medicinal plants, grains, coffee and food.
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra)
is a museum located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The center was built and inaugurated in 2016 with a focus on culture, learning and cross-cultural activities. The building was designed by a Norwegian architectural firm and is an amazing sight with its futuristic architecture, and was also listed by the Time magazine as one of the top 100 places to visit in 2018. The center hosts seasonal.
